If I wasn't already buying Assassins Creed 3, this would have sold me on it.

Ubisoft has a couple of Assassin's Creed III announcements to make today. The first is the announcement of a season pass, granting access to five downloadable content packs at a lump price that's 25% less than each pack individually. The second announcement is 'The Tyranny of King George,' a DLC campaign that spans three content packs that focuses on the events following the American Revolution. Yes, Assassin's Creed III's first DLC will be about taking down George Washington.
Ubisoft executive producer Sebastion Puel adds his perspective towards the design decision to make George Washington a villain:
"History is our playground – and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period. While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened."
I am not too worried about the corruption of George Washington, commonly portrayed as a saintly Cinncinatus-style figure. The Assassin's Creed games have already established that the so-called Pieces of Eden are capable of driving people insane. Given we see a Piece of Eden in Washington's staff, this is basically just the ending where Washington has found the One Ring.
Man, I can't wait to play it!
